- Libyan troops have captured the former headquarters of Islamic State in Sirte. The hospital and the university of the city, the main stronghold of the extremist movement in Libya, according to the government troops fallen into their hands.
Sirte was considered the unofficial capital of IS in Libya and a possible refuge, the movement in Syria and Iraq was allowed to come very cornered.
