Apple pulls virtual reality expert at

- Apple has one of the leading experts engaged in the field of virtual and augmented reality: scientist Doug Bowman of the Virginia Tech university. It therefore seems only a matter of time before Apple also presents a prestigious project as HoloLens or Oculus Rift.

Bowman specializes in making 3D user interfaces for VR / AR experiences. He was recently praised for his HoloLens research project.

Attracting Bowman is not the only evidence that Apple is interested in virtual reality. There are several patents surfaced for iPhone-related headsets and recently augmented reality firm Metaio was acquired.
