Apple patent points to control with gestures

- Apple has filed a patent application for technology that allows users to control computers with gestures. Multi-touch surfaces for this purpose include non-contact proximity sensors.

The website of the US Patent Office USPTO. Apple explains in that the user wants to control the computer by using their finger or another object to make gestures above the keyboard or other multi-touch surface.
There may come gestures for turning off the screen, adjust the brightness and closing applications. Apple also describes a situation where there is a button on the screen if you are there with your fingers on the top. The button is pressed when the user moves his finger downward.
It is however questionable whether Apple will actually putting into the technology. It is only a patent and not nearly all the patents are actually placed on the market as a technology.
