Apple is working on its own power '

cupertino - Apple appears to be working on its own system to better manage the energy consumption of its iPhones, iPads and other devices. That would mean that Apple has less need for the chips from the British supplier Dialog. So says an analyst at research firm Bankhaus Lampe.

According to the agency wants to Apple's power management design centers' set up in Munich and California. About eighty people from Apple would be already working on the project. Around 2019, the own chips should already be built into the first iPhones.

Dialog has offices in the Netherlands in Den Bosch and Hengelo. The company owes nearly three-quarters of its sales to Apple.

Apple wants to do more in-house. Last week, the company showed a different supplier, Imagination Technologies, know that its graphics technology in a few years no longer need. Apple is also working on a new chip for Mac laptops, which should replace the current Intel processors.
