The South Korean firms investing heavily in this expanded production capacity for OLED screens. A deal with Apple would be the reason for this investment. Japan Display is also mentioned as a future partner of Apple and the US tech giant goes according to sources to invest in the new technology by entering into a partnership with AU Optronics.
Focus Taiwan reports that Apple's Taiwanese AUO decided to convert into an AMOLED manufacturer for the iPhone.
- Future iPhones get much better screen than the current one. Apple is committed to the use of AMOLED technology for the new iPhones, rather than the current LCD screen.
