Apple iMac gives freshening

- Tech giant Apple has Mac computers given a freshening. The company now offers a 21.5 -inch iMac with a 4K screen and 27 inch models all have a 5K screen.

The basic version of the new "small" iMac has a Core i5 processor from Intel clocked at 3,1GHz . It is not about the latest chip version , Skylake , but to the previous variant , Broadwell . That is probably done because the integrated graphics hardware of this older version is more powerful than the latest . Standard is further supplied to 8GB memory. The screen has a resolution of 4096 by 2304 pixels . This has the same pixel density as its bigger 27 inch brothers. The 21.5 -inch iMac with 4K screen has a starting price of € 1,729.

In terms of the 27 -inch iMacs the 5K screen has become slightly more accessible . Where this version first cost almost € 2,700 , there is now a version available from € 2129.
