- Microsoft,, deeply saddened 'about the racist and sexist tweets from the chatbot Tay. Writes Peter Lee, vice president of Microsoft, in a blog.
The derogatory robot Tay was launched Wednesday and was intended as an experiment to test artificial intelligence conversation and understanding. The aim of Tay was that he would sound like his audience, young people aged 18 to 24 years. But that same audience immediately seized the opportunity to see how far Tay would go and robot delivered a series of racist and sexist phrases, which then took over Tay. After Tay phrases like,, Hitler was right, I hate Jews '' and,, Bush did 9/11 '' began to take over, Microsoft decided to stop Thursday with the robot.
