Another Palestinian demonstrator shot dead

gaza - The Israeli army has once again shot a Palestinian demonstrator in the Gaza Strip, local health officials say.

Also Friday there was again plenty of action at the border. Thousands of Palestinians were on their feet. Israeli soldiers opened fire and put tear gas. There were also about 200 injured, a quarter of them were bullets. A UN human rights officer spoke of 'excessive violence' by the Israelis.

Since the protests began on 30 March, 39 Palestinians have already been killed. More than 5000 others sustained injuries. The demonstrators hope to achieve that refugees and their descendants can ever return to their old territory before the foundation of the state of Israel.
