washington - Activists were furious in Washington when they saw Kirstjen Nielsen, who was jointly responsible for the harsh anti-immigration policy, eating at a Mexican restaurant. The left-wing demonstrators therefore angrily entered the popular restaurant MXDC Cocina Mexicana, near the White House. 'Shame' and 'stop divorcing family members', they called on the minister. Nielsen is Minister of Homeland Security.

At the Mexican border, illegal immigrants who are caught when crossing the border in the US are arrested and prosecuted. They are separated from their accompanying children, who are detained separately. According to the Trump government, this hardened policy is meant as a deterrent.

In six weeks, an estimated 2300 children are separated from their parents on the American-Mexican border. It has strongly criticized Trump's 'immense policy' at home and abroad.
