'Amsterdammers bypass Airbnb rules'
amsterdam - Amsterdammers may have found a way to bypass strict rules against Airbnb rentals. They call their house a room now. There are no restrictions for that.
Self-catering homes can be rented for up to sixty days a year via Airbnb. But that limit does not apply to rooms in a home. The Amsterdam blogger Dirk Kloosterboer says to AT5 that people may have decided to rent a room only, and no longer the whole house. In case the prices should be reduced, and almost nothing has happened. Often even the description on the home site is not even adjusted.
