Americans: Chinese seem to be with lasers

washington - The US has formally complained to China about Chinese people who seem to have American air force pilots with lasers at their base in Djibouti. The US has a base in the African country where about four thousand people are stationed.

From there, the US military operates in Yemen and Somalia, among others. China is not far from there also a base that the US is rather concerned about.

'These are serious incidents,' said a spokesperson for the US Department of Defense. 'We demand that the Chinese investigate these incidents. '

Last month two pilots of a C-130 aircraft were injured in their eyes by the bright light. The Pentagon is convinced that it is Chinese who shine with the lasers. The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls the accusations as yet unfounded.
