Ambulance pops on tree, three seriously wounded

reichshof - An ambulance was knocked off the road in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia on Tuesday afternoon and crashed head-on against a tree. A 56-year-old patient who had just been picked up and the nurse was mortally wounded by the accident in Reichshof, near Gummersbach.

The eighteen-year-old driver of the ambulance also suffered serious injuries according to the police. Presumably she went out in a bend for an animal and then lost control over the wheel. Rescue helicopters have taken the victims to a hospital.
