Amazon Releases Face Recognition

- Amazon comes with a service that can recognize faces, called Rekognition. Another product, Polly, can convert written text into spoken words, with 47 voices in 24 languages. And the program Lex lets customers create talking apps, such as chat bots.

Amazon uses artificial intelligence (AI) for the new products. Competitors Microsoft and Google are working on that.

Amazon has the new cloud products presented Wednesday at its annual congress re: Invent in Las Vegas. There were 32 000 people off.
