Amazon destroys returned products

berlin - Internet seller Amazon is destroying large-scale products in Germany. This is shown by research from the German program Frontal21 and magazine Wirtschaftswoche, which are based, among other things, on internal product lists, photographs \u0026 statements, and employee declarations. The German Ministry of the Environment speaks shame about the practices.

According to sources, the internet company owes products that are still usable. For example, it concerns dishwashers, mattresses, refrigerators and mobile phones. One employee stated that she had destroyed tens of thousands of euros on products on a daily basis.

State Secretary Jochen Flasbarth (Environment) talks about a 'big scandal' and has asked the company for clarification. Amazon does not deny that products are destroyed. The company says it is committed to improving processes, so that as few products as possible have to be discarded.
