Almost no one believes in Iceland anymore

reykjavik - A new poll shows that young Icelanders are less and less religious. In fact, the poll shows that zero percent! of the Icelanders under the age of 25 believe in the biblical story of creation.

The poll was carried out by research agency Maskina. Less than half of the Icelanders surveyed claim to be religious. More than 40 percent of those under 25 say they are even atheists. In total, 46.4 percent of the residents are religious, a low record for the country.

The least religious people are young people and residents of the capital Reykjavik. 80.6 percent of people over the age of 55 call themselves Christians and only 11.8 percent are atheists.
