Al-Shabaab attack on Mogadishu hotel

- Fighters of the extremist Islamic organization al-Shabaab on Friday in the Somali capital Mogadishu to detonate a car bomb next to a hotel and then stormed the building. Most guests according to a police spokesman escaped through another exit.

It is unclear whether the attackers were in the hotel, Ahmed Ismail said the police. He also did not know if there are casualties.
