Security officers at the smaller airports of Hamburg, Hanover and Bremen started work at midnight, Frankfurt followed two hours later. The strikes last until 8.00 pm. Strikes are also foreseen in Munich, Leipzig, Dresden and Erfurt, as a result of which hundreds of flights will be canceled.
