Afghan (17) fixed for killing medications student

- German police have arrested a 17-year-old Afghan refugee for the rape and death of a 19-year-old medicine student in Freiburg. According to the investigators, there is a DNA-match.

The alleged offender was in accordance with justice called 'unaccompanied refugee. Since coming to Germany he stayed with a host family in Freiburg. The victim, according to German media, the daughter of a highly positioned at a EU official.

The young woman came in October killed when she came back from a party and was pulled from her bike. Her body was found on October 16 in the Dreisam river. She died by drowning, reported the researchers. It is not yet clear whether the perpetrator knew the victim.
