AfD-headpiece under fire by news year tweet

berlin - An important politician from the German right-wing populist party AfD has come under heavy fire due to a 'popular-puffing' Tweet that she distributed around the turn of the year. Meanwhile, hundreds of Germans have filed a complaint against Beatrix von Storch, vice-party chairman of the party in the Bundestag.

In the digital message she is angry because the police in Cologne spread information about the New Year's Eve in various languages, including Arabic. 'What on earth is going on in the Netherlands?' Asks Von Storch among other things. 'Do you think that barbarous, Muslim, gang-ridden men's horde will calm down?' The tweet was removed on Monday but Von Storch published a screenshot on her Facebook page.
