Actor Hillerman (Higgins) from Magnum P.I. passed away

houston - Actor John Hillerman died in his hometown of Houston at the age of 84. His family let this know through a spokesman. The cause of death is unknown. The American became famous because of his role as Jonathan Higgins in the popular 80's series Magnum P.I.

Hillerman was nominated five times for a Golden Globe and four times for an Emmy for his role in Magnum P. I. He won both prizes once. He also played in television series like The Love Boat, Murder She Wrote, Kojak and in feature films such as The Last Picture Show, What's Up, Doc? and Blazing Saddles.

Still, Hillerman was known as Higgins with his neat British accent, while he was a born Texan. The sidekick of Magnum P. I. Performer Tom Selleck stopped acting in 1999.
