Accuser Kavanaugh does not doubt about allegations of sexual misconduct

washington - The woman accusing candidate Chief Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct shows that she was mistaken in the identity of her assailant. Christine Blasey Ford said at a hearing that for '100 percent' it was certain that it was Kavanaugh who assaulted her in 1982.

Professor of psychology Blasey made an emotional statement on Thursday for a Senate committee. She explained there that a drunken Kavanaugh pushed her on a bed 36 years ago and tried to take off her clothes.

The session with Blasey ultimately lasted more than four hours including two breaks. Kavanaugh is also heard later in the day. He has denied all accusations.

Blasey thought, in his own words, that Kavanaugh wanted to rape her and possibly kill by accident. She said that it was 'hard to breathe' when he put his hand over her mouth. The woman had the strongest memory of the laughter of the seventeen-year-old Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge, who would have been present too.

Kavanaugh has been accused by several women of cross-border behavior, but Blasey is the only accuser who appeared before the committee on Thursday. She told her to be 'terrified', but to see it as her civic duty to make a statement. She gave answers to questions for hours.

The case has led to great divisions in the US. Some supporters of Kavanaugh see the accusations as an attempt to blacken the judge. Blasey denies that: 'I am an independent person, not a pawn. '
