Abuse after 'insult' Erdogan

- A Turk from Istanbul which his wife has completely beaten together, turned out a rather special reason to have given above. When the police questioned him, he said that he had gone berserk because his wife had just dared to insult Erdogan president.

Kadir E. of Istanbul felt so terrible that he spontaneously attacked his wife Hülya. According to Article 299 of the Turkish Penal Code you can get from one to four years in prison if you insult the head of state.

The quarrel arose when the couple looked together at the TV and saw images of the terrorist attack in Brussels. Kadir E. grumbled that the world sympathized much more with the victims in Brussels than the victims of terror in Turkey.

Hülya, half Turkish and half Belgian, then said that Erdogan was the culprit of the attacks and began to complain about him. Then her husband would have been furious. 'He shouted that he would make me blind, I would throw out the window and me would bring,' Hülya told the police. She had a lot of injuries to her face.

It happens often that the tensions within Turkish families run high because of different visions about Erdogan.
