A20 near Rotterdam close to heavy accident

rotterdam - UPDATE 17.16 hours- The A20 at Rotterdam is closed towards Gouda. There has been an accident involving at least three cars. That caused a lot of chaos on the asphalt.

According to the Traffic Information Service (VID), a vehicle was stuck on the fog strip when other vehicles collided with it. The clap that followed was big. One of the occupants was thrown out of the car. A trauma helicopter had to arrive.

It then became a chaos of people on the road. The traffic is wall-mounted. Some people try to drive back through the bad luck.

At 16:51, when the VID gave the latest update, security services were still busy handling the accident. Thereafter, another investigation will begin.

The traffic must drive from the Terbregs square. The ANWB reports that the road remains closed until about 20.00.
