- The chance that you get a fragment from space on your head is only one in a trillion, but it is still not clear where the Chinese space station Tiangong-1 will collapse. It is estimated that the station, which has the size of a bus, will reach the earth somewhere tonight or Sunday morning early.
The area where pieces of the space station can land lies between Italy and Australia. Not such a very accurate estimate. It is very difficult to calculate the exact place of arrival, because if the station crashes just 1 minute earlier or later, the point will shift hundreds of kilometers. That is what aerospace organization Aerospace Corp tells Het Laatste Nieuws.
