- At least 85 bodies of migrants Thursday washed up on beaches in northwestern Libya. Which announced a spokesman for the Red Cross. Hundreds of refugees drowned last week by accidents involving rickety boats which they ventured the crossing to Italy. Especially near Zuwara, a known base for smugglers, many bodies have been found.

According to Al-Khamis al-Bosaifi of the aid organization, most victims, including two children, from countries south of the Sahara. Many bodies were already in a state of decomposition. It's hard to say how long they have been in the water. The Coast Guard in Tripoli said that the last two days no boats have been spotted at sea anymore. That is probably due to the deteriorating weather conditions.
