82 people rescued from snowbound mountain station

- A group of 82 hikers rescued Monday from a snowbound mountain station of the Sierra de Guadarrama in Central Spain.

According to police, the walkers were among those fixed fifteen children, at 1800 meters altitude because the cable car through the heavy snowfall did not work.

Firefighters and rescue units of the police made it with half meter snow-covered drive off and spent the unfortunate hikers to safety. No one was injured.

In northern Spain, a dozen mountain passes were closed after the heavy snowfall on Monday. However, the cold front gradually pulls back.
