20 smugglers arrested in Crete

heraklion - On the Greek island of Crete twenty traffickers arrested 120 immigrants who were trying to provide Europe. That Greek media reported Friday.

The smugglers were arrested in the port city Tsoutsouros in the south of the island, in Heraklion, the capital of the island. When the arrests were also discovered some caves that served as a temporary shelter for immigrants.

Among the twenty detainees was a Greek policeman. The Greek judicial authorities suspect that more islands are used as a transit point for illegal immigrants to Europe. Earlier rickety boats from the sea were brought that carried immigrants from Greece to southern Italy.
