1000 refugees Mediterranean rescued

rome - International rescue teams have Wednesday on the Mediterranean coast more than a thousand migrants rescued in distress. The refugees were traveling in six inflatable boats and a wooden ship when they got into trouble in Libya.
According to the Italian coast guard involved around 1042 people, including many children and women. The assistance was provided by several naval vessels from countries of the European Union.
