US: Syria seems to have abandoned attack

According to the United States, Syria seems to have listened to an American warning not to carry out a new attack with chemical weapons.

Washington said Monday that the Syrian regime seemed to prepare a new chemical attack. The White House warned Syrian President Bashar al-Assad when he and his army would pay 'a heavy price' if they 'carry out such mass murder with chemical weapons'.

According to the White House statement, the preparations that Syria encountered were similar to those preceding the April 4 attack. Then, in a poison gas attack, seventy civilians were attacked in Khan Sheikhoun's rebellious site. In response, President Donald Trump ordered an attack on a Syrian Air Force Base.
