Urn with ashes Castro begins to travel through Cuba

The urn with the ashes of Fidel Castro begins Wednesday in Havana on a journey along some Cuban cities to about 900 kilometers away Santiago de Cuba.

Castro died Friday at the age of 90. Many thousands of Cubans Monday took part in a memorial ceremony at the Revolution Square with the monument of national hero José Martí. In long lines of people walked past a huge picture of the young Fidel in fatigues.

Castro came in 1959 after a revolution in power and reigned 47 years over the land. He resigned in 2006 from politics.
