Turkey dismisses 900 police officers Ankara

Turkey has nine policemen put their function in the capital Ankara.

The country suspects them of having links with the Islamic movement of cleric Fethullah Gulen residing in the US, said a government official on condition of anonymity. According to Turkey, he was the mastermind behind the failed coup last Friday.

Turkey already has tens of thousands of employees in the public sector put on non-active since the attempted coup by a group of soldiers on July 15. Thousands of others have been arrested and prosecuted.
