Street lighting for Groningen bat

The Papiermolenlaan in the city of Groningen will soon feature amber street lighting.

Currently there are work on the southern ring road. It cuts across the living environment of a bat colony, with the Papiermolenlaan as an important route. Because the standard white street lighting is inconvenient for the animals, contractor combination Herepoort, responsible for the execution of the roadway plans, will adjust the lighting. That reports newspaper of the north.

The Battleship Group Groningen earlier went to court to stop the construction of temporary roads for the conversion of the southern ring road. The change from white to amber light will not affect road safety.
