Spanish police intercept cargo coke between the bananas

The Spanish police have detected € 210 million worth of cocaine between a shipment of bananas from Colombia.

The bananas came from the Colombian Medellín. The police detained three suspects from Spain, Portugal and Honduras. It is one of the largest seizures of cocaine in Europe.

At the end of last month, the Spanish police also struck when 331 kilograms of heroin were intercepted with a street value of 120 million euros. Those drugs came from Turkey and were discovered in the port of Barcelona.

At a check in the port of Rotterdam, a hundred kilos of cocaine was recently discovered in a shipment of bananas. The container with fruit came from Ecuador. Customs officers found in the cargo four bags with 133 packages of cocaine.
