Rome demands action government because of water shortage

The mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, called on the government to conduct effective action on Friday to prevent water being ransacked in the Italian capital.

It provides that rationing of water is very damaging to the Romans, to the economy of the city and to the appearance of Italy. She is also worried about the water supply for hospitals and for the fire department. The government has to do something to prevent this, if necessary, calling for a state of emergency in the Lazio region concerned.

Large parts of Italy suffer from drought and heat. ACEA water management company has warned that rationing has to be introduced, because the region of Lazio has assigned ACEA no drainage of Lake Bracciano north of the Italian capital.
