Rock from outside solar system on visit

Our solar system has been visited outside for the first time.

The boulder has been given the name 'Oumuamua'. That is Hawaiian for 'messenger from far who arrives first', because a telescope on Hawaii saw him first.

The researchers think that the asteroid has been roaming the Milky Way for hundreds of millions of years, not tied to a star. Probably he has done 300,000 years to make the crossing of the star Vega to our solar system. 'For decades we have thought that such objects are there and now we have direct proof of their existence for the first time', according to the American space agency NASA.
