New UN sanctions for North Korea

The UN Security Council unanimously agreed on Friday with new sanctions against North Korea.

In the new sanctions, which were put to the vote by the US, the country is, among other things, imposed restrictions on the export of petroleum products. Furthermore, North Koreans who work abroad must return to their country within twelve months.

The missile test was on November 29th. Pyongyang spoke of a successful test with a projectile that would cover the entire mainland of the US.
