Mass murderer Charles Manson in hospital

Charles Manson, the American sect leader who incited his followers to gruesome murders in California in the 1960s, is hospitalized, reports the Los Angeles Times.

In January, Manson also had to go to the hospital, for what was then called an urgent medical problem.

Manson has been sentenced to life imprisonment and has been in jail for more than 45 years. In the sixties he gathered a crowd of predominantly young female followers known as the 'Manson Family'. In the summer of 1969 he put them to kill seven people, including the actress Sharon Tate, the pregnant wife of director Roman Polanski. According to the Public Prosecution Service, the killing was part of a Manson plan to unleash a racial war.
