Israel wants to name train station at Wailing Wall after Trump

The Minister of Transport in Israel, Yisrael Katz, wants to extend a high-speed line between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem to the Wailing Wall and name that station after Donald Trump.

With the 'Donald Trump station', the government wants to thank the American president for recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, reports The Guardian.

The line must be extended over a distance of three kilometers via a tunnel under the old city in Jerusalem. If the plan is approved, the construction will take about four years.

There is a chance that the plan will encounter resistance in the international community, since the Israeli sovereignty about East Jerusalem is not recognized.
