Israel is turning European delegation

Israel intends to refuse access to a European delegation.

Israeli Ministers of Home Affairs and Public Safety, Arye Dery and Gilad Erdan, have announced that the goal of the twenty-one delegation of among others is European parliamentarians to visit a Palestinian terrorist in prison. The delegation wants support for Palestinian prisoners, including leading politician Marwan Barghouti.

The 58-year-old Barghouti was arrested by the occupying forces in 2002 and was sentenced to life for a terrorist for murder. One year before his arrest, the Israelis tried to kill him with a rocket. Minister Dery states that 'this delegation of leading Europeans is traveling to take action against Israel.'
