Grandparents in Cuba get grandchild leave

Cuba grandparents may soon include care if they get a grandchild.

Cuba was leave for parents of babies already well regulated, but this has not yet led to a baby boom. This new measure Cuba should soon bring more babies, reports The Washington Post. Working grandparents will soon have the right to leave at least a year, a portion of their salary is paid.

The Government of Cuba has also announced that childcare is cheaper and that women get tax relief when they go to work in the private sector. About seventy percent of Cubans is official. Cuba is not the first country that grandparents the opportunity to take leave to care for their grandchild. In England and Argentina exist such arrangements too.
