FNV: pending flex in childcare

Childcare staff are overloaded with administrative work.

The FNV believes that employers' 'flexverslaving' should stop. The report shows that not only employees, but also employers, experience stress through the flexibility in shelter. In organizations where more flexibility is in the contractual forms, a higher workload is experienced.

What also increases the workload are the tasks that do not directly affect the work with the children, such as administration and cleaning. According to FNV these hours were previously allocated separately, but the 'task hours' have now been demolished. Educational staff should refurbish these tasks at the expense of the attention of the children.

The trade union wants to make agreements on a realistic number of hours in the forthcoming co-negotiations. The Child Care Center will run until January 1, 2018, and will cover 80,000 employees.
