Farewell in Liège of shot student

Nearly a thousand people, including the Belgian prime minister, said goodbye to the 22-year-old student in Liège who died last week in a suspected terrorist attack.

The young man, who was trained as a teacher at the College of Liege, was shot dead in his car by the 36-year old Benjamin H. in the center of the city on Tuesday. H. had just robbed two female agents with the service weapon of one of them. They are ordered on the ground Tuesday. Because of the funeral, Prime Minister Charles Michel canceled a summit in Brussels with his Benelux colleagues Mark Rutte and Xavier Bettel on Tuesday morning.
