Data Lease Times on the street

Personal data of about one hundred thousand lease riders are on the street.

It is unclear whether the leaks have been misused recently. In order to prevent the data from coming into the wrong hands, the IT company that discovered the data pads has informed the software vendors last week. The errors in the software were then restored.

The data sheets came to light because the IT company ESET from Sliedrecht was looking for a new leasing company for its own employees. Because the leasing companies shared one data server, ESET could ask for a trick of data from all associated leasing companies.
