China blocks Pinterest on web

China has blocked Pinterest, the popular site and app where users can post pictures and videos, and liken to so-called mood boards.

It is not clear why the Chinese authorities have blocked the site for their citizens. During the National People's Congress two weeks ago Premier Li Keqiang said cautious about the reform of the Chinese economy.

Blocking Pinterest fits perfectly into the pattern of China to keep foreign companies on the domestic market. Earlier also attacked Google, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook prey to censorship. Therefore Chinese competitors were as Baidu, Youku, Weibo and Renren flourish.
