ABC News suspends journalists mistake about Trump

The American television channel ABC News has suspended a reporter for four weeks because he made a mistake in his coverage of Michael Flynn and Donald Trump.

It's about investigative journalist Brian Ross. He wrote that former security advisor Flynn of the then presidential candidate Donald Trump had been instructed to make contact with Russians.

That turned out to be incorrect. Trump would only have given Flynn and a narrow circle of advisors the task of thinking about how ties with Russia could be improved, so ABC News acknowledged Saturday.

Wall Street plummeted one percent after ABC News released the erroneous news about Flynn's role. If it were to be true, it would mean that Trump himself could be associated with forbidden contacts with the Russians.
