40 million for studying school

Sander Dekker Secretary of Education pulls the next few years 40 million to give school leaders more time to study.

'This gives them a chance to get a master's and young talent the chance to gain experience as a school leader,' said Dekker Saturday prior to the National School leaders summit in Utrecht.

School leaders now have all the money to study. But it comes too often before they drop out because because there is no replacement. 'We want to solve that problem. In the interests of school leaders, but also in the interest of the whole education,' says Dekker.

'We strive for a good head teacher for each school. A master's degree can help.' The ministry expects annual 250 school leaders can make use of the allowance.
