Wrangling over migration fund over Turkey

brussels - The controversy over the financing of the European fund of 3 billion euros for the reception of refugees in Turkey is over. The 28 Member States of the European Union Wednesday reached an agreement on the funding. The Netherlands is contributing 93.9 million euros.

European leaders agreed in late November with the fund, but especially Italy cross was when it came to pay. Earlier in the day revealed that the Italians were bijgedraaid.

The money is mainly for food, health care and education for Syrians in Turkey. That land promised in return the refugees to Europe to halt and also got a view of accelerating the accession process to the EU and visa-free travel for Turks wishing to Europe.
