riyadh - Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to participate in a crucial meeting in Riyadh with numerous other countries' Foreign Ministers discussing steps towards stability and security in Syria.

On today's agenda in Riyadh is a critical meeting where a number of countries' Foreign Ministers will gather to discuss steps towards achieving stability and security in Syria, with Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in attendance. Sources providing information to Hürriyet state that the focal point of the meeting will be on measures to be taken to ensure stability and security in Syria. Fidan is expected to deliver messages to his counterparts on the following topics:

  • Safeguarding the territorial integrity and unity of Syria.
  • Implementing all necessary measures against separatist terrorist organizations.
  • Maintaining momentum in steps towards the reconstruction of Syria.
  • Easing sanctions against Syria.

The meeting will see the participation of Foreign Ministers from Turkey, Syria, as well as members of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman, along with Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, United Kingdom, and Germany. Representatives from the United States, Italy, Arab League, European Union, and the United Nations Special Envoy for Syria will also be present.
