vacaville, california - Ken Wilson, a resident of Vacaville, recently uncovered a surprising discovery that he has been footing the electricity bill for his neighbors for 18 years. Despite overpaying for all those years, he is only being compensated for the past three years.

A shocking revelation came to light in Vacaville, California, when Ken Wilson discovered he had been unknowingly covering the electricity bill for his neighbors for a whopping 18 years. It appears Wilson may have been overpaying all these years, though he is only being reimbursed for the last three years.

Mistakes can happen, but the fact that it took so long for the mix-up between house numbers 90 and 91 to surface even surprised the main character himself. It was only a few months ago when Wilson noticed his bill was higher than usual that he started actively monitoring his expenses. In fact, he even took steps to reduce his bill.

"I try to save electricity, because it's getting really expensive," said Ken, who lives alone. "Every day when I go to work, I turn off the breakers." The only appliance he always keeps running is his refrigerator.

He even purchased a device that accurately measures how many watts he consumes, allowing him to calculate his energy usage precisely.

"After turning off my breakers, I go outside to check if my meter is still running," he explained. "When I saw spikes even with my breakers off, I knew I wasn't looking at my own meter. It had to be someone else's meter."

Wilson reached out to Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E). The company determined that a mistake had been made, one that went unnoticed for an unusually long time. Wilson was paying for his neighbors' electricity, and vice versa. Presumably, this arrangement resulted in a relatively favorable bill for the neighbors.

Wilson has been living in the apartment since 2006, and the situation has remained unchanged since then. The utility company acknowledges the error and is refunding him $600 for the past three years. As for what should happen with the potentially overpaid amount from the other 15 years, that remains unclear as the energy company continues to investigate.
