tel abyad, syria - Tel Abyad tribes in northern Syria, within the scope of the Peace Spring Operation, highlighted that the terrorist organization PKK/YPG has left the local people in poverty by looting the region's resources and seek support from the country's new administration.

In the Tel Abyad district, liberated from the terrorist organization PKK/YPG by the Turkish Armed Forces in cooperation with the Syrian National Army, tribes gathered and requested the liberation of the occupied lands from the organization.

In a statement issued by the tribes, it was emphasized that the people in Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, and Hasakah regions are living in difficult conditions, and PKK/YPG terrorists have worsened the security and humanitarian conditions in the region.

The statement pointed out that the terrorists' practices such as detaining, displacing, and forcibly recruiting children have brought destruction to the region, leading to thousands of citizens losing their homes and lands, with families scattered in refugee camps and neighboring countries. It was stated that during this time, gangs are looting the region's resources, leaving the people in poverty and deprivation.

The statement indicated that the terrorist organization has deepened the people's suffering and hindered return efforts, calling on the international coalition to take a serious and deterrent stance against these brutal militias, end their occupations, and ensure the safe return of the people to their homes. Such support will strengthen the efforts to rebuild the state in Syria and increase the region's stability. The tribes requested the Syrian government to refuse negotiations on behalf of the people of Jazira with the gangs and urged the Syrian government to take responsibility for the liberation of all occupied areas in Jazira.
